Fourth City in Expansion: Delhi Joins the List
Delhi becomes the fourth city where the Matter Aera 5000 is now available, after its initial rollout in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Pune. With the same ex-showroom price of ₹1.94 lakh across all these cities, Matter is clearly aiming for price consistency. Bookings are currently open via the company’s official website, and deliveries will commence around the festive season.
What Makes It Unique: Geared Electric Experience
What sets the Matter Aera apart from every other EV motorcycle in India is its 4-speed manual gearbox — a first in the EV two-wheeler segment. This gives riders a familiar feel of gear shifts that is typically missing in traditional electric scooters or bikes. The clutch and gearbox combination offers a more involving and controlled ride experience, making it unique among its peers.
Powering the Aera 5000 is a 5kWh battery pack, which delivers a real-world range of approximately 125 km per charge. This battery is paired with a 10.5kW electric motor that gets its own liquid cooling system, ensuring sustained performance even in demanding urban conditions.

Tech-Loaded to the Core
The Aera 5000 features a large 7-inch touchscreen dashboard, which handles almost all rider interactions. It includes turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts via Bluetooth, and even connects to Matter’s companion app called MatterVerse. Through the app, riders can access advanced features like geo-fencing, live vehicle tracking, keyless ignition, remote lock/unlock, and more.
