Domestic sales reach 73,934 units while exports soar by nearly 24%
Q1 FY26 overall sales up by 12.67% thanks to strong export growth
Month-on-month sales dipped in June after strong May 2025 performance
Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL) has reported a positive sales performance for June 2025, recording total two-wheeler sales of 95,244 units. This marks a healthy year-on-year (YoY) growth of 7.88% compared to the 88,287 units sold in June 2024.
Out of the total units sold in June 2025, 73,934 units were accounted for by domestic sales—up by 4% from 71,086 units in the same month last year. Meanwhile, exports showed a significant uptick, increasing by 23.88% to 21,310 units from 17,201 units in June 2024. This strong export growth continues to play a key role in Suzuki’s overall performance.
However, on a month-on-month (MoM) basis, Suzuki’s numbers show a dip. In May 2025, the company had sold 1,28,896 units, making the June tally 26.11% lower. Domestic sales saw a sharper MoM decline of 31.4%, while exports remained stable, showing a marginal 0.92% increase.
Despite this temporary dip in MoM numbers, Suzuki has had a strong start to FY26. During Q1 FY26 (April to June 2025), the company sold a cumulative 3,37,088 units. This is a 12.67% increase compared to the 2,99,176 units sold during Q1 FY25.
Breaking it down further, domestic sales in Q1 FY26 stood at 2,76,928 units, up 10.25% from 2,51,185 units in Q1 FY25. Exports again outperformed with a 25.36% YoY rise, totaling 60,160 units as against 47,991 units in the same quarter last year.
Commenting on the performance, Mr. Deepak Mutreja, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, Suzuki Motorcycle India, stated, “We remain optimistic as our growth continues across both domestic and international markets. Our continued focus on delivering superior riding experience and customer-centric approach is driving this performance. We will continue to offer greater value to our customers as we strengthen our presence across markets and gear up for the months ahead.”
In addition to strong sales, Suzuki also expanded its product lineup in June 2025 with the launch of OBD-2B compliant GSX-8R and V-Strom 800DE, both introduced in three new colour options. This reflects Suzuki’s continued push towards innovation and regulatory alignment.
