Mercedes-Benz has officially pulled the covers off the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 S Final Edition — a limited-run model designed as a tribute to the outgoing second-generation CLA. Offered in both Coupe and Shooting Brake body styles, the Final Edition marks the end of an era before the arrival of the third-gen CLA, which is expected to debut in India sometime in 2026.
Unique Design with AMG Styling Cues
What makes the CLA 45 S Final Edition special is not just its performance, but its distinct visual upgrades. Mercedes-AMG has gone all out to ensure that the car stands out from the standard model.
It’s offered in two exclusive exterior paint options: Mountain Grey Magno and Night Black Uni. Complementing these paint schemes are bold ‘45 S’ decals on the doors and unique yellow AMG badges on the ORVMs and wheel centre caps.
Adding to its aggressive stance are new 19-inch matte black AMG alloy wheels. The Final Edition also comes standard with the AMG Night Package, which brings in blacked-out trim for a stealthy appearance.
For those who want an even sportier look, buyers can opt for the Night Package II and AMG Aero Package, which add more dynamic exterior bits including aero enhancements and sharper bumpers.
Step inside, and the AMG DNA continues. The cabin of the Final Edition features yellow contrast stitching on the seats, dashboard and door panels — a design theme that adds visual pop to the otherwise dark and sporty interior. The seats and floor mats are embroidered with ‘45 S’, while the centre console sports a ‘Final Edition’ badge to remind you of the car’s exclusive nature.
Aside from these aesthetic upgrades, the interior remains as tech-rich and luxurious as any modern AMG. There’s a wide digital driver’s display, a large infotainment screen running MBUX software, and all the performance telemetry features that enthusiasts expect from a car in this segment.
Same Brutal Performance Under the Hood
Underneath all the visual enhancements, the CLA 45 S Final Edition retains the same powerhouse drivetrain. It continues to be powered by the revered 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that makes a jaw-dropping 416bhp and 500Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and Mercedes’ 4Matic all-wheel-drive system.
The performance figures speak for themselves: 0–100km/h in just 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 270km/h. The Final Edition is not just about the looks—it offers all the dynamic capability and driving fun that the AMG CLA 45 is known for.
A Perfect Send-off
With the new third-generation CLA already unveiled globally, the Final Edition serves as a fitting goodbye to one of AMG’s most engaging and compact performance sedans. While there are no official numbers on production limits yet, this special edition is likely to be built in limited quantities, making it a potential collector’s item for AMG enthusiasts.
India is expected to get the next-gen CLA sometime next year, but until then, the Final Edition closes the chapter on the current-gen model with style, performance, and exclusivity.
