BMW Motorrad has officially introduced the updated version of its futuristic electric scooter, the CE 04, for international markets. New Colour Schemes Across Variants

BMW hasn’t touched the mechanical components of the CE 04, but it has added new colour options across its different variants:

The base model now comes in a new Lightwhite uni shade. This is paired with a clear windshield and black-grey seat for a clean and minimalistic look.
The Avantgarde variant steps up the visual game with a striking Gravity Blue metallic matt finish combined with Sao Paulo Yellow accents. Buyers can choose between a black or light grey seat, complemented by yellow and white tapes, a tinted yellow windshield, and laser-engraved trim on the rear wheel.
The top-spec Exclusive variant features a premium Spacesilver metallic body. It comes equipped with improved wind protection, hand guards, and heated grips as standard. It also gets a comfort seat with new upholstery and heating, plus subtle branding with the ‘CE 04’ embroidered on the rear panel.

Updated Features For 2025

One of the key highlights in this updated CE 04 is its advanced 10.25-inch TFT colour display, which now supports integrated map navigation directly on the cluster. This removes the need for a separate smartphone mount or display, streamlining the rider experience. All lighting elements on the scooter are LED, including turn indicators and tail lamps, maintaining the CE 04’s premium look.

BMW also offers several optional mods with the CE 04, such as different seat options, trim kits, and electronic upgrades, which help users personalise the scooter to their liking.

Powertrain Remains Unchanged

The electric motor remains the same across all variants, producing 42 hp and 62 Nm of torque. It allows the CE 04 to reach a top speed of 120 km/h. Its 8.9 kWh battery provides a claimed range of 130 km on a single charge. That makes it suitable for both daily commutes and light weekend rides.

India Launch & Pricing

The current version of the BMW CE 04 is already available in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹15.25 lakh. However, BMW has not yet confirmed when the updated model will reach Indian shores.

Given the growing interest in electric two-wheelers, especially premium offerings, BMW may consider launching the new CE 04 sometime in late 2025 or early 2026.

Jio Likely to Outpace Airtel in ARPU Growth for Q1 FY26

India’s telecom sector is once again witnessing a fresh wave of competition — this time, not in total subscribers, but in ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) growth. According to JM Financial’s estimates, Reliance Jio is expected to outpace Bharti Airtel in ARPU growth during Q1 FY26, which covers the April to June 2025 quarter.
While Airtel will still have a higher ARPU overall, the pace at which Jio is catching up could make all the difference going forward.

What’s Driving Jio’s ARPU Growth?
Jio’s ARPU, while still trailing Airtel’s in absolute numbers, is expected to rise faster in Q1 FY26. JM Financial projects Jio’s ARPU will increase by 1.8% quarter-on-quarter to ₹210. This improvement is attributed to a few key factors:
- Many of Jio’s users were on long-term annual plans and had not yet been billed under the newly increased tariffs. As these users now begin recharging under the revised prices, the telco is seeing a gradual but strong uplift in average revenue per user.
- Jio has been aggressively pushing its Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) services like Jio AirFiber. The increase in these high-ARPU FWA subscribers is further boosting overall revenues per user.
- The effect of previous tariff hikes is still trickling in for Jio, as a large portion of its base transitions from old to new pricing.

Airtel: Strong But Steady
In contrast, Airtel’s ARPU is forecasted to grow by 1.6% QoQ, reaching ₹249 in the June quarter. While Airtel continues to lead in terms of premium users and revenue per user, it appears to have reached a saturation point in gains from tariff hikes.
Since most of Airtel’s user base has already moved to new tariffs in previous quarters, there’s little room left for major ARPU leaps — unless another round of tariff revisions takes place.
What About Vodafone Idea?
Vodafone Idea (Vi) is also expected to post a similar 1.6% QoQ ARPU growth. The telco is focused on upgrading its network and moving users from 2G to 4G and 5G. However, the challenges remain significant:
- A large portion of Vi’s user base still uses 2G services, pulling down overall ARPU.
- Network coverage and quality still lag behind competitors in many circles.
That said, Vi has reportedly accelerated its infrastructure upgrades in recent months and has an ambitious plan for further modernization over the next two years. If executed well, this could boost ARPU figures significantly in the long run.
Final Thoughts
While Airtel continues to dominate in ARPU, Jio’s strong growth momentum signals a shift. With an ever-expanding subscriber base, a push into FWA, and fresh revenue from revised tariffs, Jio could close the ARPU gap with Airtel sooner than expected.

BMW M2 CS Breaks Nürburgring Compact Car Lap Record With 7:25.5 Time

The BMW M2 CS has officially become the fastest compact car around the iconic Nürburgring-Nordschleife circuit, setting a blistering lap time of 7 minutes and 25.5 seconds. The record was achieved on April 11, 2025, by BMW M development engineer Jörg Weidinger, and it marks a major milestone for both the M2 lineup and BMW’s engineering legacy.
This new lap time is a massive improvement over the previous record held by another M2 model, also driven by Weidinger. Back in April 2023, he clocked a 7:38.7-minute lap in an earlier version of the M2. With the new 2025 M2 CS, he has shaved off a full 13 seconds from that mark. Even more impressively, it beats the previous fastest time in the compact class, 7:30 minutes, by a solid 4.5 seconds.
BMW's new record also brings the M2 CS closer to some of the fastest production BMWs ever. For example, the BMW M4 CSL — the current production car lap record-holder for BMW — completed the Nordschleife in just 7:18.137 minutes. Other heavy hitters like the M4 CS, M3 CS, and standard M4 models have also broken the 7:30 barrier, showing just how quick BMW’s recent performance cars have become.

The lap time of 7:25.5 minutes not only puts the M2 CS in elite company but also demonstrates the sheer potential of compact sports cars when engineered with purpose. While the M2 CS shares its 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six engine with other M cars, it's tuned here for an impressive 530 hp and 650 Nm of torque. These numbers alone don’t tell the full story — BMW also applied a series of modifications that helped the M2 CS achieve this remarkable feat.
The record-setting car came equipped with performance-oriented engine mounts, adaptive M suspension, M compound braking system, and several lightweight components. These changes helped bring down the weight by 30 kg compared to the standard BMW M2, offering more agility and better weight distribution on the twisting curves of the Nürburgring.
