Aprilia is all set to make a new splash in its sporty scooter segment. The new Aprilia SR 175 scooter has started arriving at select dealerships across the country and its official launch date is said to be July 2025.
This time this new model is coming to replace the SR 160 and will come with features like more power, new TFT display and connected technology.

Engine got even more powerful: 175cc
The new Aprilia SR 175 will now get a 174.7cc air-cooled, 3-valve engine that produces 12.92hp of power @ 7,200rpm and 14.14Nm of torque @ 6,000rpm. These figures represent a direct power boost over the SR 160, where the old engine produced 11.27hp and 13.44Nm of torque.
Along with the engine, the frame, suspension, brakes and tyres are expected to be the same as the SR 160. The scooter will also get 14-inch tyres, disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear along with single-channel ABS.

TFT display enhanced style and smartness
The biggest upgrade that will be seen in the SR 175 is the new colour TFT display, which has been taken from the Aprilia RS 457 and Tuono 457. It has features like Bluetooth with smartphone connectivity, call/message alerts, music control, and different theme layouts.
This upgrade is much more premium and user-friendly than the old LCD display, which has increased the technology level of the scooter.
Same style with new colours
In terms of design, the SR 175 retains the same bodywork as the SR 160 – aggressive looks, sharp cuts and sporty appeal. But the colour options have been updated this time. The two colours seen so far are white/red and purple/red, which seem to be directly inspired by the Aprilia RS 457.
Aprilia SR 175 price in india and launch details
According to information received from the dealership, the Aprilia SR 175 is said to be priced at ₹ 1.31 lakh ex-showroom. This is exactly the same as that of the SR 160 (₹ 1.32 lakh to ₹ 1.42 lakh). However, the company has not yet confirmed any official price. Assuming this price, the Aprilia SR 175 on road price may reach somewhere between ₹ 1.45 lakh to ₹ 1.50 lakh.
The launch is expected to take place in the first week of July 2025, and as soon as the launch date and full features are revealed, we will give you full details.
