
Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) has released its sales figures for June 2025, revealing a mixed bag of results. While the company showed strong export performance, its domestic market took a significant hit, both on a year-on-year (YoY) and month-on-month (MoM) basis.

June 2025 Sales Overview: Domestic Downturn, Export Uptick
In June 2025, HMSI sold a total of 4,29,147 units, which includes 3,88,812 units in domestic markets and 40,335 units in exports. This marks a 17.28% drop in total sales compared to June 2024, when the company sold 5,18,799 units. The domestic segment, in particular, saw a sharp 19.43% YoY decline, losing nearly 93,785 units compared to the same month last year.

On the other hand, exports were a bright spot for Honda. Overseas shipments went up by 11.42%, rising from 36,202 units in June 2024 to 40,335 units in June 2025. While the export numbers are relatively smaller, the consistent growth is a positive signal amidst overall slowdown.
MoM Comparison: Sales Slip Further
Comparing with the previous month, Honda’s numbers also trended downward. Domestic sales dropped by 6.82% from 4,17,256 units in May 2025. Exports decreased by 15.72% from 47,859 units in May to 40,335 units in June. Overall, the company’s MoM total sales fell by 7.73% from 4,65,115 units in May 2025 to 4,29,147 in June.
Q1 FY26 (April–June 2025) YTD Performance
For the first quarter of the current financial year (April to June 2025), HMSI sold 12,28,961 units domestically, down by 13.10% compared to 14,14,232 units during the same period last year. However, exports stood at 1,46,159 units, up by 5.18% YoY from 1,38,960 units. Combined, Honda’s YTD sales dropped by 11.46%, with total sales of 13,75,120 units as against 15,53,192 units in Q1 FY25.
