TVS Motor Company has further expanded its iQube electric scooter lineup by introducing a new 3.1kWh battery variant. Positioned strategically between the base 2.2kWh and the more powerful 3.5kWh models, this new variant is priced at ₹1.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), aiming to strike a perfect balance between price, range, and features for Indian urban commuters.
With this addition, the iQube family now comprises six variants, offering customers more flexibility in choosing the right combination of performance, range, and affordability. Here’s a detailed look at what the 3.1kWh variant brings to the table and how it fits into TVS’s broader EV strategy.
The iQube 3.1kWh is priced at ₹1.05 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Offers 121–123 km IDC range and a top speed of 82 km/h
Features include Bluetooth-enabled TFT display and hill-hold assist
Expands iQube lineup to six variants
Available in four colour options and sold across 1,900+ touchpoints
Performance and Range
The 3.1kWh lithium-ion battery pack powers a hub-mounted motor capable of delivering a top speed of 82 km/h. TVS claims an IDC-certified range of 123 km (real-world estimated at 95–100 km), making it ideal for daily urban commutes. It fills the gap between the lower 2.2kWh variant (100 km IDC range) and the more expensive 3.5kWh variant (145 km IDC range).
The scooter supports fast charging with a time of approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes to charge from 0 to 80%, same as the 2.2kWh variant.
As the table shows, the 3.1kWh iQube variant adds ~23 km extra range over the base model for about ₹12,000 more, while being ₹21,000 cheaper than the 3.5kWh variant — a smart middle ground for budget-conscious yet range-anxious riders.
Design and Build
The scooter maintains the familiar modern yet minimalistic design seen in other iQube variants. It features the same tubular steel chassis, telescopic forks at the front, and twin shock absorbers at the rear, ensuring a stable and comfortable ride.
It weighs approximately 117 kg and gets a 220mm front disc and 130mm rear drum brake setup.
New Colour Options
The TVS iQube 3.1kWh variant comes in four vibrant colour options:
Pearl White
Titanium Grey
Starlight Blue with Beige (Dual-tone)
Copper Bronze with Beige (Dual-tone)
TVS is clearly targeting a broader customer base, especially younger buyers, with these appealing new paint schemes.
Features and Technology
TVS has not compromised on features despite the mid-range pricing. The 3.1kWh variant includes:
5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth integration
Turn-by-turn navigation
Incoming call alerts and message notifications
Hill-hold assist (new addition)
Refreshed UI/UX for better user experience
These features ensure that the iQube keeps up with or even outpaces rivals in the sub-₹1.10 lakh segment when it comes to connected tech.
TVS’s Three Pillar Strategy
The launch of the 3.1kWh variant aligns with TVS Motor’s broader electric mobility strategy, which revolves around three core principles:
Power of Choice: Offering multiple battery sizes, features, and price points so users can choose what fits their needs best.
Complete Assurance: With over 600,000 units sold and 1,900+ touchpoints across India, TVS promises robust post-sales support and vehicle safety.
Simplicity of Usage: Easy-to-use, well-connected scooters with intuitive technology, UI/UX, and easy charging.
Growing Market Presence
TVS’s aggressive expansion of the iQube lineup is in response to growing EV adoption in urban India. With sales already surpassing 6 lakh units and a network that spans 1,900+ touchpoints, the company has placed itself firmly in the top tier of Indian EV manufacturers — competing closely with Ola Electric, Ather Energy, and Bajaj.
TVS also continues to grow globally, with four manufacturing facilities across India and Indonesia. It owns Norton Motorcycles in the UK and operates premium e-bike businesses in Switzerland through Swiss E-Mobility Group (SEMG) and EGO Movement.
A practical and reliable electric scooter for city use
Decent range without crossing the ₹1.10 lakh barrier
Premium tech like navigation and Bluetooth without going fully premium
Then, the 3.1kWh iQube might just be the perfect option for you. It balances range, price, and features more efficiently than most electric scooters in its class.
