Porsche has officially pulled the wraps off the 2026 911 Carrera 4S, and this one brings more than just visual updates. Positioned between the Carrera S and the GTS T-Hybrid in the global 911 lineup, the new Carrera 4S offers all-wheel drive (AWD) performance, a power bump, and more equipment, making it a very tempting package for enthusiasts looking for performance and everyday usability.

Powerful Turbo Engine with AWD for Thrilling Performance

The 2026 Carrera 4S is powered by the same 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine found in the Carrera S. However, thanks to a new, more efficient intercooler borrowed from the 911 Turbo, the engine now puts out 473bhp—an increase of 30bhp over the previous model.

Mated to an eight-speed PDK (Porsche’s dual-clutch automatic gearbox), all that power is sent to all four wheels. The result? The Carrera 4S Coupe sprints from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.3 seconds when equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package. Its top speed is a thrilling 308km/h, giving it serious performance credentials even when compared to more expensive 911 variants.

Sportier Looks and Upgraded Features

The new 911 Carrera 4S carries the updated styling of the 992.2 generation. While it shares its face with the Carrera S, it gets an exclusive edge with the option of a Targa body style, a feature not offered on the S trim.

The Coupe version also gives buyers the choice between a traditional two-seater or a 2+2 layout at no extra cost. Meanwhile, the Cabriolet and Targa variants come with rear seats as standard.

Porsche has upgraded the equipment list too. All Carrera 4S trims now come standard with the sports exhaust system, larger brakes from the GTS, and improved suspension tuning. Rear-wheel steering is offered as standard on the Targa and is optional on the Coupe and Cabriolet.

For those seeking track-day levels of performance, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and a sport suspension that lowers the car by 10mm are available as options.

Inside, the 2026 Carrera 4S offers enhanced interior quality with more leather trim as standard. The cabin remains driver-focused, while providing just enough luxury touches to make it feel premium for everyday driving.

Expected Pricing and Availability

The new Carrera 4S models are now available to order in the U.S., although Porsche has yet to announce official pricing. However, estimates suggest that the Coupe could start around USD 154,200 (approximately ₹1.32 crore), while the Cabriolet may be priced at USD 167,400 (₹1.42 crore).

The stylish Targa might cost around USD 169,000 (₹1.44 crore), making it one of the more premium offerings in the Carrera lineup.

With its blend of performance, everyday usability, and all-weather AWD confidence, the 2026 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S has all the ingredients to be a new favourite among 911 fans.
