Triumph has pulled the wraps off the updated 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS in India, and oh boy, it’s even meaner and more loaded than before! Priced at ₹20.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new Speed Triple gets key mechanical upgrades, a small power bump, and smarter electronics — all while still being the most affordable European supernaked in the market right now.
Highlights
Priced at ₹20.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Now makes 183hp and 128Nm (up by 3hp and 3Nm)
Gets electronically adjustable Ohlins suspension
Lighter wheels, new tyres, and updated electronics
More Muscle, Same Madness
At the core of the 2025 Speed Triple 1200 RS is the same 1,160cc, liquid-cooled, inline-triple engine, but now tuned to churn out 183hp and 128Nm of torque. That’s 3 horsepower and 3Nm more than before, all thanks to a more free-flowing exhaust system. And while the weight has gone up by just 1kg (now 199kg), it’s a fair trade-off considering all the upgrades.
Next-Level Suspension & Handling
This is where things get really exciting. The older model’s stiff suspension setup wasn’t too friendly for Indian roads, and Triumph seems to have heard us loud and clear. The 2025 model now gets high-end electronically adjustable Öhlins EC3 suspension at both ends, replacing the earlier manually-adjustable units. That means more comfort, better adaptability and improved ride quality in real-world conditions.
Also new are the wheels — lighter than before — and they help reduce unsprung mass. This translates to quicker changes in direction and better stability when you’re pushing hard through corners. Pair that with the new grippy Pirelli Supercorsa V3 tyres, and you’ve got a seriously track-worthy weapon. Tyre sizes remain the same: 120/70-ZR17 at the front and 190/55-ZR17 at the rear.
Another nice touch: Triumph has now added a standard steering damper. Given the Speed Triple’s tendency to lift its front wheel with minimal provocation, this is a welcome move. The electronics suite also sees an improvement. Wheelie control can now be tweaked independently of traction control — something that performance riders will truly appreciate. It’s clear Triumph is taking rider feedback seriously.
For 2025, the Speed Triple 1200 RS is available in three colours:
All-Black
Grey with Red Accents
Grey with Yellow Accents
Now, yes — the price has gone up by ₹2.44 lakh compared to the previous version, but when you consider all the tech, features, and performance that’s on offer, it still feels like solid value. In fact, it undercuts its main European rivals quite significantly. The Ducati Streetfighter V4 starts at ₹24.62 lakh and the KTM 1390 Super Duke R at ₹22.96 lakh, making the Triumph a tempting proposition for performance junkies.
Verdict
If you’re looking for a motorcycle that offers brutal power, gorgeous design, and enough tech to keep things in check — the 2025 Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS should be on your radar. Whether you’re hitting the canyons or track days, this supernaked now feels more complete than ever. For booking and availability, your nearest Triumph dealership should be your next stop.
