Hero MotoCorp has just refreshed its sporty 110cc scooter, the Hero Xoom, and this time it’s all about getting cleaner and more efficient. With the launch of the new OBD-2B compliant model, Hero ensures that the Xoom 110 now meets the latest emission norms in India. While the scooter doesn’t get a complete overhaul, there are a few key changes that make it worth a closer look.
Highlights
- Hero Xoom 110 is now OBD-2B compliant, adhering to updated emission regulations.
- The LX variant has been discontinued, making the VX trim the new entry-level option.
- Powered by the same 110.9cc engine with Hero’s i3S tech for better fuel efficiency.
- Prices now start at ₹78,067 (ex-showroom) and go up to ₹84,017 for the top-spec Combat Edition.
Cleaner Engine, Same Power
Under the hood, the Hero Xoom 110 continues with its 110.9cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine. It’s the same motor that was powering the earlier version, but now it comes with OBD-2B compliance. In simple terms, this means it meets the stricter pollution norms and can monitor real-time emission levels using an onboard diagnostics system.
The engine still churns out 8.15 PS of power and 8.70 Nm of torque. Hero’s i3S (Idle Start Stop System) continues to be part of the package, automatically turning off the engine at traffic signals or during long idling to save fuel—a handy feature for urban commuters.

Goodbye LX, Hello VX
With this update, Hero has made a small but significant change in the lineup. The base LX variant has been discontinued, and now the scooter range begins from the VX trim. Priced at ₹78,067 (ex-showroom), the VX comes better equipped and offers more features as standard compared to the now-discontinued LX. At the top of the range, the Combat Edition is priced at ₹84,017 (ex-showroom).
Features and Variants Breakdown
The Hero Xoom 110 continues to pack some decent features for the price. You get:
- LED projector headlamp
- Fully digital LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity
- USB mobile charger and boot lamp
- 12-inch alloy wheels
- Telescopic front suspension and rear monoshock
When it comes to braking, there are two different setups depending on the variant. The VX trim gets 130mm drum brakes on both ends, while the ZX trim and above come with a 190mm front disc brake. Rear braking duties remain standard with 130mm drum brakes across all variants.
Final Thoughts
While the Hero Xoom 110 doesn’t bring a visual makeover or performance boost, the OBD-2B upgrade ensures that it stays future-ready and eco-friendly. The removal of the LX trim simplifies the variant selection, and the VX now serves as a well-rounded starting point with more value for money. With its aggressive styling, city-friendly features, and better compliance with regulations, the Xoom 110 remains a solid contender in the 110cc scooter segment.
